God's Creation

***Just a reminder, there is No School this Friday, September 19th. The teachers will be attending a professional development class in Washington, MO.***

Our preschool class has been learning about the incredible world God created. For the past week and a half, we have been creating a mural about creation for our current, large class project.  As the children started brainstorming and creating, we found their ideas were too BIG for just one wall, so they created two murals. One mural is of the ocean/beach with fish, sharks, dolphins, starfish, water, rocks, sunshine, birds, and turtles, along with many other beach animals.
Our second mural is of the land, featuring the mountains, trees, flowers, the sun, the moon, planets, stars, dogs, elephants, tigers, zebras, lions, turtles, and many other animals.
The children shared with great joy their talent while creating their animals. In the process, they worked on their fine motor skills and finger muscles through cutting, painting, and gluing.
After creating their animal or creation piece the children worked on their writing skills and letter recognition by making labels for their project.
